Hey! I'm Lucas
Computer Scientist
I'm getting ready to graduate from Auburn University with my degree in Computer Science. I am excited to finish my degree and begin my professional career.
About
I'm 22 years old and from Alabaster, Alabama. When I'm not working on school or tutoring, I'm usually working on personal projects, hanging out with my friends, listening to music, playing my guitar, or browsing what's new in the tech world.
I love finding the tools neccessary to transform the ideas in my head into something tangible.
Recently I worked on a project for the Spring 2024 Auburn hackathon. We brought the fictional character "HAL" from 2001: A Space Odessey to life using Python, ChatGPT API, Google Speech Recognition, and text to speech modules. The full project is on my Github for anyone who's curious.

Projects
Some personal projects of mine
Voxel Model and Animation
Voxel Animation
Work I did for my college level digital art class this semester.
Using MagicaVoxel to model and capture keyframes for motion, and Adobe Premiere Pro to put everything together, I made this awesome animation using some assest I made myself as well as a few assests that came along with the MagicaVoxel software.
Wordle Solving Tool
Wordle Solving Tool
For this project I used Python scripting language and the tkinter interface.
The goal of this project was gain experience using Python and to create a simple GUI tool to help the user solve the popular New York Times' "Wordle" game.

Typing Test
Re-skin of AOEU typing test https://typing-speed-test.aoeu.eu/
As someone who types all the time, knowing how fast I can type is rewarding. I also enjoy sharing my scores with my peers. I love the AOEU typing speed Test but have never been a fan of the way it looks. So I reskined it, stripped some functionalities I didn't want, and changed the way one or two things worked.
